DESCRIPTION
Buddha.
Despite popular belief in the West, the Buddha was neither God, nor the son of God, nor a prophet. He was a brave man who, like everyone else, wanted to be happy.
Sidhartha sought permanent happiness that would never pass away and found it. At the age of thirty-five, after a long period of search and deep meditation, he gained direct experience of the nature of the mind, experiencing it as inexhaustibly rich and indestructible, and thus attaining enlightenment by becoming a Buddha.
