Ingredients: Oil content in idra oil seed - 30-40%. Idras oil contains up to 90% unsaturated fatty acids, of which ~ 55% is polyunsaturated fatty acids. The main unsaturated fatty acids in idra oil are α-linolenic acid (~ 30-40%; this amount is still specific to flax and fish oil), linolenic acid (~ 18%), oleic acid (~ 16%) and eicosenoic acid (~ 15%) . Free fatty acids - 0.5-2.5%.

Idra oil is also a great source of tocopherols - their content varies from 680-800 mg / kg (it contains more tocopherols than, for example, canola, olive, soybean, canola, sunflower or sesame oil).

Idra oil is more oxidatively stable than other alternative sources of ω-3 fatty acids - flax or fish oil.

For health: It is an antioxidant (thanks to the high content of vitamin E), moisturizes the skin, hair conditioner (vitamin E reduces skin aging and improves skin tone; reduces dandruff). The oil has anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic properties (due to the high content of ω-3 fatty acids it can soothe the pain of arthritis) and strengthens the immune system (due to the high content of tocopherols). Essential fatty acids help rejuvenate cells, improve skin elasticity.

Decreases blood triglycerides (reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease). Maintains central nervous system and eye health: Protects against cognitive diseases such as dementia and Alzheimer's disease and eye diseases such as macular degeneration and inflammatory nerve damage.

The cholesterol in Idra oil is important for a number of body functions at the cellular level. Campesterol protects against inflammation-induced cartilage damage, useful in arthritis. Stigmasterol is a powerful antioxidant and lowers blood cholesterol and glucose levels. Sitosterol lowers cholesterol.

Oil helps fight psoriasis, eczema.

Oil could cause allergies in people who have allergies to mustard, but such cases have not been documented.

For cooking: The oil is suitable for baking (246 ° C smoke point, comparatively olive oil and 176 ° C coconut oil).
