On the basis of the Vedas, God originally created the sound from which the entire phenomenal world originated. This sound was «OM». It existed before the creation of the universe, and from it was created EVERYTHING, including the gods. OM is the cosmic vibration that holds the atoms of the world and the sky together. The Vedas say, OM - this is God in sound form. Therefore, in Hinduism, the sound of "OM" is the most sacred sound. It is a mantra that includes all other mantras. Sacred Hindu and Vedic texts began and ended with this sound.
