Kamal gatta mala is also known as dried lotus seed mala. Lakshmi is also known as Kamalvaasini - ie she who sits on a lotus. So we use a special rosary made of lotus seeds called Kamalgatta Mala for Sadhana and chanting of Mantra Lakshmi. It is said that if one uses this rosary to chant the Lakshmi Mantra, then she gives him wealth and comfort.
