DESCRIPTION
The Shiva Lingam stone is a sacred stone of both the ancient and modern worlds. They are found in the Narmada River at Onkar Mandhat, one of the seven holy places in India.
Legend has it that they were formed when a meteorite fell to earth several million years ago. It is believed that the natural movement of the river helps to create the oval of stones. They are harvested for just one day each year and are hand-polished to a smooth and shiny surface. Lingam stones are said to have one of the highest frequency vibration rates of any stone on earth. They emit a vibration that will cleanse your sacred space.
The shape of the stone represents the masculine energy (knowledge) and the markings, which vary greatly from stone to stone, represent the feminine energy (Wisdom). Shiva Lingam represents harmony and balance.
