Spirulina is a small blue-green algae that is biologically one of the oldest inhabitants of the planet and is undoubtedly the most popular high-nutrition algae today. This algae contains many of the essential nutrients for the human body - around 60% plant protein, a rare essential gamma linoleic acid (GLS), which is still present only in breast milk without spirulina, beta carotene which is 10 times higher than carrots. Spirulina is an excellent source of plant iron, contains the highest concentration of vitamin B12, essential for hematopoiesis and high levels of chlorophyll, which stimulate the formation of new cells and tissues. Overall, spirulin contains almost all vitamins except vitamin D.
