Saturn is the son of Sun God and Chaya (Sanvarna). It is considered a cruel planet. According to astrology, if Saturn breaks through the constellation of Rohini, it is considered to be a harbinger of great misfortune. Shani / Saturn yantra is used to propitiate the afflicted Shani / Saturn and attain Rajayoga through full blessings from Shani. Shani yantra is recommended when a depressive state takes over. The Shani yantra should be held on a Saturday of the waxing moon during the Hora of Venus or Saturn.
