DESCRIPTION
Sumac is made from sumac fruit. The slightly sour spice can be added to salads and meat dishes (sumak goes especially well with lamb), giving them lemon notes. Goes well with grilled food - meat, fish, vegetables. Goes well with lentils, yogurt and salads. It is traditionally used in the cuisine of Eastern countries. Sumac was used in folk medicine in the Middle Ages and still serves as a natural dye today.
