Tibetan Flags (Lungta)Prayer flags can be flown both indoors to increase harmony and spiritual awareness, and outdoors (the higher the better) to benefit the environment and all beings touched by the wind. It is important to remember that prayer flags should be treated with respect as they contain sacred text and symbols. When waving the flags, it is also important to think correctly: "May all beings be well." Lungta - means (Lung = wind; ta = horse) a mythical Tibetan being before the time of Buddhism. The word itself means happiness and luck in Tibetan. Lungta symbolizes peace, compassion, strength and freedom.
