Aroma: quite sweet, but distinctly herbal.
Attention : It is a very strong oil and should not be used during pregnancy or if you have high blood pressure. Due to the phenols (carvacrol and thymol), which can irritate mucous membranes and cause skin irritation, it should not be used in skin care products and should generally be used in low concentrations.
If used in massage therapy, a skin patch test would be recommended to determine if the person is sensitive to it.
This essential oil can cause skin irritation, however, it has great value in aiding focus and concentration, and is an excellent bronchial and pulmonary stimulant, making it valuable for bronchitis, coughs, colds, asthma, and the like.
The warming effect of this oil can help with poor circulation, as well as arthritis, rheumatism, gout, muscle pain, sprains and sports injuries. It is also useful for cellulite.
